How does delivery/shipping work?
We deliver exclusively to Utah residents:
• Local Delivery: If you’re within 30 miles of my home here in Ogden, Utah, I’ll personally deliver your meals to your doorstep. Deliveries are non-contact and go out freshly cooked/baked every other Wednesday. Local delivery fees are included in the price.
• Local Pickup: For those outside the local radius, pickup options are available and will be coordinated after your order is placed.
When should I order?
Please place your order at least two weeks before your due date. This is to ensure your order arrives before baby does! If you think your baby might arrive earlier, email me at hello@shophomeandhearth.com to let me know.
Can I modify the ingredients of Hearth Meals?
At this time, Hearth Meals are not customizable. Creating wholesome, nutrient-dense meals that meet postpartum needs is my priority, and keeping them standardized helps ensure quality and consistency.
How do gift cards work?
Our gift cards are fully digital and can be redeemed on our website. They make a thoughtful gift for a loved one, a mama in need, or as a baby shower present. When gifting, you can even click “Send as Gift” and schedule a delivery date. Whether for yourself or someone else, this is a wonderful way to give the gift of nourishment. Shop gift cards here.
Can I specify a delivery date?
I’m unable to accommodate specific delivery dates, as I’ve set dedicated days for preparing and delivering orders to maintain the priority of my family. Local deliveries go out freshly cooked every Wednesday. If your baby is expected to arrive earlier than planned, email me at hello@shophomeandhearth.com, and I’ll do my best to assist with your order.
Is the food already cooked?
Yes, all Hearth Meals are fully cooked and ready to heat. Local deliveries arrive fresh every Wednesday. If your baby hasn’t arrived yet, I recommend freezing the meals upon delivery to ensure they’re ready to go when you need them.
What if I don’t want raw milk in my meals?
Some of our recipes utilize raw milk because of its nutrient density, natural enzymes, and traditional preparation benefits. We carefully source our milk from Redmond Farms here in Utah, a trusted farm known for its high standards of animal care, soil health, and food safety practices. This allows us to provide meals that are as wholesome and close to nature as possible.
We understand that raw milk isn’t the right choice for everyone. If you prefer, you can substitute with a low-temperature pasteurized (vat pasteurized) milk. This option preserves more enzymes and nutrients than ultra-pasteurization while still providing an extra layer of reassurance if you’re not comfortable with raw dairy.
To request this substitution, simply email us at hello@shophomeandhearth.com after placing your order. We’re happy to make that adjustment for you.
