How does delivery/shipping work?
We deliver exclusively to Florida residents:
• Local Delivery: If you’re within 25 miles of my home, I’ll personally deliver your meals to your doorstep. Select the local delivery option at checkout to confirm you’re within the radius. Deliveries are non-contact and go out freshly cooked/baked every Wednesday. Local delivery fees are included in the price.
• Shipping: For those outside the local radius, meals are shipped frozen every Tuesday and arrive within 2-3 days. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout.
When should I order?
Please place your order at least two weeks before your due date. This is to ensure your order arrives before baby does! If you think your baby might arrive earlier, email me at hello@shophomeandhearth.com to let me know.
Can I modify the ingredients of Hearth Meals?
At this time, Hearth Meals are not customizable. Creating wholesome, nutrient-dense meals that meet postpartum needs is my priority, and keeping them standardized helps ensure quality and consistency.
How do gift cards work?
Our gift cards are fully digital and can be redeemed on our website. They make a thoughtful gift for a loved one, a mama in need, or as a baby shower present. When gifting, you can even click “Send as Gift” and schedule a delivery date. Whether for yourself or someone else, this is a wonderful way to give the gift of nourishment. Shop gift cards here.
Can I specify a delivery date?
I’m unable to accommodate specific delivery dates, as I’ve set dedicated days for preparing and shipping orders to maintain the priority of my family. Local deliveries go out freshly cooked every Wednesday, and shipments are sent frozen every Tuesday. If your baby is expected to arrive earlier than planned, email me at hello@shophomeandhearth.com, and I’ll do my best to assist with your order.
Is the food already cooked?
Yes, all Hearth Meals are fully cooked and ready to heat. Local deliveries arrive fresh every Wednesday. If your baby hasn’t arrived yet, I recommend freezing the meals upon delivery to ensure they’re ready to go when you need them. Shipped meals arrive frozen to preserve their quality during transit.
Why do you use low-temp pasteurized milk?
We are committed to providing the highest quality, nutrient-dense meals possible for postpartum mothers. While we would love to use raw milk for its rich, natural enzymes and probiotics that support digestion and overall health, Florida laws prohibit the sale of raw milk for human consumption.
In place of raw milk, we use organic, regenerative low-temp pasteurized milk. This milk is gently heated to 145°F for 30 minutes, preserving more of its natural nutrients, such as vitamins and enzymes, compared to traditionally pasteurized milk. While it doesn’t contain the live probiotics found in raw milk, it retains more of its nutritional value than ultra-pasteurized milk.
Low-temp pasteurized milk is also easier on the digestive system, making it a great choice for postpartum mothers whose digestive systems may be more sensitive. The gentle pasteurization process helps maintain the milk’s natural enzymes, which aid in digestion. This makes it a suitable option even for mamas who have a mild sensitivity to dairy but still want to reap the benefits of milk without the digestive discomfort that traditional pasteurized milk can sometimes cause.
We believe in transparency and want our customers to know that this choice is made with your health and safety in mind. While we would prefer to offer raw milk if it were legal, we are proud to use organic, low-temp pasteurized milk as the next best option to ensure you receive the cleanest, most nourishing food possible during your postpartum journey.
